JackN Posted May 12, 2019 #1 Share Posted May 12, 2019 Have not been to St. Maarten in about twenty years. Thinking of taking the following tour on Amigo Tours. Has anyone taken this tour? https://www.stmaartenamigotours.com/#!/st-maarten-highlights.html Thanks in advance for your help. Jack
leesecruises Posted May 24, 2019 #2 Share Posted May 24, 2019 We took this tour last year in July. It was a great way to see the island. We boarded a small tour bus and our driver served as our guide. We learned a lot about the island, saw the devastation from the hurricane and got to stop at Orient and Maho Beaches. We also stopped at Marigot, where we had some time to grab lunch (we walked to where the locals eat and found a Haitian buffet). Our tour guide provided beverages (punch and rum punch) for refreshments but we brought our own waters, too. Our bus did have a problem at Maho beach (the air conditioning compressor wouldn't work) so they had our passengers board another bus that their tour company operated to take us back to port. Luckily, Maho Beach was our last stop so we got to "finish" our tour. I think it was the perfect amount of time to see the sites and enjoy the beach. Our kids enjoyed it as well. Overall the company was professional with how they handled the air conditioning issue, the tour guide was knowledgable and friendly, and we didn't miss our boat!! Wyoming2010 Posted June 24, 2019 #6 Share Posted June 24, 2019 Has anyone used Joyce -- I think it's called Personal Tours by Jocelyn? She got good reviews on Trip Advisor.
gtaylor Posted June 24, 2019 #7 Share Posted June 24, 2019 We have used and highly recommend Joyce Hanley-Prince. Many on the board here know her as Joyce Prince. http://www.joycehanley.com/ gary p.s. I understand that she can no longer offer the WiFi Hotspot mentioned on her website. Did she call you for a credit card number? None of the other tour guides asked for that, so I wasn't sure.
