Does anyone know the timeline for when they open up FTTF for new ships?  We'll be on the Sunrise FEB 2020 out of port everglades and haven't seen it yet.

Thanks,

The ship doesn't have anything to do with it. But in all honesty, I don't know how they determine when they release it. We'll be on the Horizon in March 2020 and FTTF was released back in March. And sold out within a week or two. Nothing you can do but check regularly.

FASTER TO THE FUN (FTTF)

Now guests can maximize their vacation fun with Carnival's Faster to the Fun (FTTF) package. This program is available for purchase via Carnival.com Shore Excursions. Space is limited. Simply click on your cruise ship departure port for availability. Faster to the Fun is very popular and sells out quickly so we encourage you to check back in case of cancellations.

Faster to the Fun is open on sail dates through 2020, where applicable, in the following home ports: Baltimore, Charleston, Fort Lauderdale, Galveston, Jacksonville, Long Beach, Miami, Mobile, New Orleans, New York, Port Canaveral, San Juan, Seattle and Tampa.

Faster to the Fun is not offered on Carnival Journeys departures, cruises in Europe, nor on cruises from the following home ports: Honolulu, Norfolk and Vancouver. It will be offered on the Carnival Panorama, starting with departures in February 2020, Carnival Radiance, starting with departures in January 2021 and Mardi Gras, starting in 2021 (date to be determined).

The price is per stateroom, so only one guest needs to purchase Faster to the Fun and all occupants in the stateroom receive the benefits. Prices are subject to change and may vary by ship. Faster to the Fun is subject to availability.

....

If the OP's home port/day 1 excursion page in their Manage My Cruise is not showing FttF as being available/sold out then either for some reason it's not available for their cruise** for some other reason not mentioned in the chart, or there is a hiccup with their computer or device. If it is a device glitch checking for browser or app updates, clearing history and cache, and shutting down the browser or restarting the device usually helps.

**though not noted in the chart special sailings like the Casino Premier cruises, Premier Getaway cruises, and possibly the Hot Streak casino offers tend to usually withhold FttF to general passengers until the special booking offers close out as these casino VIPs like Platinum+ and suite passengers do take away from the availability of priority embarkation and final debarkation slots.

I have heard that the number of FTTF slots available is determined by how many diamond and platinum cruisers are on board

Yes, FTTF is capacity controlled based on how many P/D book. Even if it sells out, there’s a chance Carnival opens more for a cruise after they have a better idea of how many P/D have booked.

But we’re talking about when they release the initial batch of FTTF for each cruise. It varies.

Thanks for the info.  We are on a 5 day on Sunrise.  I don't see that option in the chart that was posted or port everglades as one of the ports in the list.  I cleared my cookies, still no FTTF.

I will just keep checking.

I know when I got FTTF for my Nov 2019 cruise, it didn't show up under shore excursions until February. I had been thinking I was doing something wrong, because I had been hearing about people booking theirs up to a year before. There wasn't even a sold out icon there... it just said something along the lines of "we are still scheduling shore excursions for this port" up until then.  I'm sailing on the Glory which changed home ports to New Orleans in February, and it seemed like Faster to the Fun becoming available corresponded with that changeover. (though that could just be a coincidence) My advice would be to just keep checking. You should see something soon! Good luck!
