DDC3 Posted May 21, 2019 #1 Share Posted May 21, 2019 When I flew into Vancouver BC a few years ago it was a nightmare getting through immigration and customs. We missed our connecting flight. Has anyone been through recently? What was it like?
Rare martincath Posted May 22, 2019 #2 Share Posted May 22, 2019 If it was before we had the automated kiosks, then life is totally different now for Regular Joes (i.e. folks without Trusted Traveler status). Back in the day, queues for immigration could be as bad as Security - now, with the kiosks making things much slicker for all US/Canada passport holders, the queue time for immigration is much reduced. Compared to pretty much any US airport's immigration experience, it's still a dream to use YVR...
wheezedr Posted May 22, 2019 #3 Share Posted May 22, 2019 Agree with both posts. A few years back had worst immigration experience of our travel life at YVR when we landed parallel to 3-4 747’s from Asia. Last year with all the automated kiosks we breezed through in minutes
