Are you going out to the Statue of Liberty?  The hotels you are looking at are close to the SOL ferry, but you should prepurchase those tickets as well.

I noticed that when looking at the hotels. It looks to be a very doable walk for my mother. So yes, I am thinking that it might be a good idea to go see the Statue of Liberty. Thanks for the heads up about pre-purchasing tickets, I will look into it.

When you buy the 9-11 Museum tickets you need to pick a time for entry, you can show up a little early or a little late but you can't show up an hour after the time you pick and expect to get in.
