Prnsessmoi Posted May 28, 2019 #1 Share Posted May 28, 2019 Will be visiting N.O. for a couple days pre-cruise next year. Hubby has always wanted to do an airboat swamp tour. He also wants to visit an alligator farm (people interacting with the gators, feeding them, maybe the stereotypical head in the mouth pose, gift shop with gator stuff, etc.) I was wondering if most of the airboat swamp rides would have an attached "farm" and giftshop, or should I look at 2 different venues? Also, if you have any recommendations for great tours, I would appreciate it. The airboat tour I am currently looking at is a "small boat" tour that includes transportation to/from downtown hotels. Buckimion Posted May 28, 2019 #2 Share Posted May 28, 2019 One of my wife's favorite things in New Orleans are the swamp tours and we've frequently used Cajun Encounters, but while they have passed around a frog or two, I've never seen them make the gators available for handling. We're trying Lafitte's tours this time but I don't see any indication of 'hands-on' either.
jgmpuma Posted May 31, 2019 #3 Share Posted May 31, 2019 Just do a Google search for "Louisiana Alligator Farm." They are out there.
