weloverunning Posted January 25, 2006 #2 Share Posted January 25, 2006 About a million:D It takes a LOT of gambling to get a dollar or two. We played blackjack for two hours a night every night and still only accumulated 3 dollars and I believe you have to accumulate at least $25 before you can get credit for them. immargaret Posted January 25, 2006 #4 Share Posted January 25, 2006 It does take quite a bit of gambling to make the first $25 reward. I played black jack many hours each night and just made it to the first $25 level by the end of the cruise. It depends upon the time played, and the amount of the bets. I have heard that it's actually easier to get points on the slots, since the machines automatically keep track. On the tables the pit crew seem to stop by the tables every 15 - 30 minutes to check on how much your betting and write it in the log sheet. Points are good for 18 months I believe, and I think you can combine husband and wife's points at the desk, at least that's what I read here on the boards. :)

jrsegrl Posted January 25, 2006 #6 Share Posted January 25, 2006 Do you get a new card each cruise or just keep and use the same one from cruise to cruise?
Bluedevil Posted January 25, 2006 #7 Share Posted January 25, 2006 They do rate table play different from slot play. We only play slots and after an 11 night cruise they took off $ 900.00 from our bill. :) IMO NCl has a great casino at sea program.
skeeter195 Posted January 25, 2006 #8 Share Posted January 25, 2006 On the tables it all depends on the pit bosses. If they like you you will be taken care of, if not good luck. Last cruise I had $1400 taken off the last night. This past cruise I questioned the payment on a payout on the craps table(I was right according to the dealer, he admitted to making a mistake) and got a sneer from the boss. The last night I had only $56 taken off my bill. My average bet was $388 this year, but my hours of play were way off, they missed alot, I think on purpose. Keep track of your time and randomly check with the bosses to make sure they have all of your time down.
Bluedevil Posted January 25, 2006 #9 Share Posted January 25, 2006 I agree with keeping tabs on your betting. With the Majesty they do not have the card which keeps track of your play automatically in the slots. Attendants randomly walked around and registered your play. I did however keep them informed of when we increased our betting ( say from a $ 2.00 bet to a $ 6.00 bet) Having a rapport with the employees is a plus. I felt we were compensated quite well for our play. The only thing they didn't take off was our internet minutes we bought, our cash advance in the casino and our auto tips. Tiki Mike Posted January 25, 2006 #10 Share Posted January 25, 2006 I am not much of a slot player. What is the minimum bet at BJ to be rated? In Vegas they do not even look at you unless it's $25 per hand.
EDelPinoRN Posted January 25, 2006 #11 Share Posted January 25, 2006 Depends on the ship. We just got back from the Dream and I received $140 for our 7 day cruise. The boy got back $400 for the week (but he lived in the casino).... I felt like I was cruising alone (thank goodness some friends came along to go out with.
