Clairescurtains Posted June 2, 2019 #1 Share Posted June 2, 2019 (edited) Are there any quilting or fabric shops in Juneau, Skagway or Ketchikan walkable from the docks? Edited June 2, 2019 by Clairescurtains
Northern Aurora Posted June 2, 2019 #2 Share Posted June 2, 2019 In Skagway look for the Rushin' Tailor Quilt Shop. It is on 3rd Avenue just off the main street. Nice selection of Alaskan themed patterns.
floater Posted June 2, 2019 #3 Share Posted June 2, 2019 In Juneau we saw a shop called Changing Tides. It was in a place called Senate Mall, downtown. The captain on our whale watch tour said that area has many local stores and the Senate building has all local products. She dropped us off there and we walked back to the ship.

Nice selection of Alaskan themed patterns. Totally agree. We went there yesterday. Beautiful fabrics. Just wish I had more space. Some gorgeous fabrics from all over the world. I bought my quilter SIL some Northern Lights fabric.

cft8 Posted June 3, 2019 #7 Share Posted June 3, 2019 I have been researching this for my September cruise. In Juneau, in addition to Changing Tides, I also found Rain Tree Quilting - https://www.raintreequilting.com/
