allison12 Posted June 20, 2019 #26 Share Posted June 20, 2019 I had to post because this thread is cracking me up. My kids (11 year old twins) love postcards to see the photos, etc. Looking at the stamp or postmark...HA! They have no concept of stamp collecting, etc. It's a different generation for sure. Travelcat2 Posted June 20, 2019 #27 Share Posted June 20, 2019 Yes - it will not be too long until kids ask "what is a postcard?" I am still surprised when someone sends me a letter instead of an email. Times are changing😳

My interest in travel stems from stamps back over 50 years ago. Out of this I studied geography at university in London , and went on to teach the subject for 30+ years and still have the travel bug, stamps and using an atlas was what taught me. I now have clocked up over 65 countries visited and still need another 100+ to complete the set, and everywhere I visit if possible get some stamps to post home and keep for my collection. Still at 62 excited by this- maybe never grew up !!
