TxCityKat Posted June 8, 2019 #2 Share Posted June 8, 2019 honest 7, You want to post your inquiry on the Disabled Cruise Travel forum at https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forum/114-disabled-cruise-travel/. That is where cruisers with physical limitations share their advice & experiences. Happy sails! Kat 😺
Rare Essiesmom Posted June 8, 2019 #3 Share Posted June 8, 2019 Hoists can be rented from the same companies that rent scooters, etc. for cruises. They will not be provided by the cruise line, nor will they assist with the transfers. EM
cb at sea Posted June 9, 2019 #4 Share Posted June 9, 2019 The ship supplies NOTHING for "special" needs. You will have to contact a company that deals with the cruise lines. They have rentals for almost everything. I would imagine you will need an HC cabin to help with your hubby's daily needs....roll in shower, no step into the bathroom, wider doorways, more floor space for maneuvering wheelchairs, etc... You cannot do this in a standard cabin.
