Cruising with a disabled person.

My husband is disabled & needs a hoist to transfer from one place to the next. Has anyone used a hoist on a cruise .

Hoists can be rented from the same companies that rent scooters, etc. for cruises.  They will not be provided by the cruise line, nor will they assist with the transfers.  EM

The ship supplies NOTHING for "special" needs.   You will have to contact a company that deals with the cruise lines.  They have rentals for almost everything.  I would imagine you will need an HC cabin to help with your hubby's daily needs....roll in shower, no step into the bathroom, wider doorways, more floor space for maneuvering wheelchairs, etc...  You cannot do this in a standard cabin.
