Why no roll call for 8 Sept. 2020.

 

Never been on one of the largest ships in any cruises line.  At each of the different stop is only one gangplank used to disembark and embark the 4000 quest?

Any others tips for first timers on large ships would be appreciated

That cruise is still a long time away. If you don't find a roll call, feel free to start one.

 

Sometimes they use both gangways and sometimes they don't. It depends on the port. Even when they do, rarely do they keep both open all day. The traffic just doesn't require it.

Good luck getting one created.  I've been waiting for the one for 31-May 2020 to be created off my thread for 2 weeks now, and still nothing.

To create a roll call, just create a thread in the roll call forum for the ship. If its in the right format, the roll call finder tool will catalog it. Otherwise, you might need to get a moderator to add it manually. Just because its not in the search tool, doesn't mean its not there.

We've sailed Epic twice and Escape...  Every port where a gang way was used, they utilized both gangways from morning to afternoon.  They only closed up one about 30 minutes before all aboard because at that point there are so few people left to worry about they don't need the capacity for two.
