jrapps Posted June 16, 2019 #1 Share Posted June 16, 2019 Does anyone know how it works when you have a kid booked with Unlimited Dining? In the past when I booked a specialty restaurant I paid the full amount for our 5 year old pre cruise, and then when on the ship they refunded the amount and just charged $10 for his kids meal. Main reason I ask is we got an AMAZING deal on the unlimited plan for our upcoming 4 day cruise on the Navigator ($70pp) and we plan on doing upgraded dining all 4 nights and 2 days for lunch. At that point, do I not bother to have them refund the difference in case he wants to try an appetizer or something if the adult menu once or twice? Ken at the beach Posted July 6, 2019 #3 Share Posted July 6, 2019 Kids 5 and under are free. Personally I would not the package for a child that age. Just make the reservation on board and add them to it. As adults you can order multiple appetizers. Unless your 5YO is ordering entrees they won’t charge them anything. NeedsVitaminSea Posted July 8, 2019 #5 Share Posted July 8, 2019 We just had the $10 experience on Ovation. The waiters even encouraged the kids to order some adult dishes and it was covered but I’m sure that depends on who you get.
nicstress Posted July 9, 2019 #6 Share Posted July 9, 2019 We buy packages all the time but never for the kids. Half the time we never get charged for them either.
