Carnival gift card question

Can you use carnival gift cards for onboard purchases ie beverages etc. On holland america ships?

Is the card a Carnival Cruise Line one or a Carnival Corp one? The Carnival Corp one can be used on any of the cruise lines owned by Carnival Corp.

 

I would assume that a Carnival Cruise Line card could only be used for a Carnival Cruise Line ship, but maybe some knows for sure.

 

Possibly you could call the number on the back of your gift card to get an answer.

I called the number to ask this very question and was told no, carnival cards do not work on HAL.
