I took an Uber on June 5. Easy peasy. Cost was $19.74. About the same on the return. Uber picks  up in front of the station,  on Raymond Plaza. If you use Uber to return to Newark Penn they have designated postitions for Uber pick up, #8, #9 or #10 which are next to each other and well marked. The Uber will come fast at Newark Penn. On your return you might have to wait 10 minutes for pick up as the Ubers and Lyft might have to come from outside the immediate port area. Before Uber existed I took taxis and the cost was about $45 each way.
