Halifax, NS Ferry Ride across bay

Would someone please provide more information about the ferry boat ride across they bay in Halifax. Would like website, official name, address, approximate distance from cruise dock and did you like it. Thank you.

You are going to Dartmouth. The ferry runs about hourly. There are about two of three blocks of stores. If you've been to Halifax a few times and want a change of pace,  give it a chance. Otherwise, stay in Halifax.

Here is the web site. It makes for a great little cruise. It is a fair way along the waterfront but a lovely walk along the waterfront.

The Woodside ferry is less frequent but is a bit more interesting.

We stayed in Dartmouth when we drove out to Maritime Canada about 20 yrs ago and drove into Halifax to see the sights.  Not much there to see as I recall--it was a less expensive place to stay than Halifax.

If you have not been to downtown Dartmouth for 20 years you will not recognize it. There are quite a few really good restaurants along with brewpubs.
