hilomelko Posted July 5, 2019 #1 Share Posted July 5, 2019 Sailing 8/25 on the breakaway mini suite booked thru casino dept(great deal)...received upgrade email minimum to sniff the haven is 500$ per person bid...question does this bid minimum change as per booked cabin???closer to the sail date does this bid minimum decrease????or has this newer bid process eliminated getting a steal from ncl????on another note I can’t say enough about ncl’s casino dept we go on 2 cruises a year we moderately gamble slots/tables and they really make it worth our wild to stay with ncl!! Rare Nclgetawaymenhoney Posted July 5, 2019 #2 Share Posted July 5, 2019 No it's a minimum price for the first two people, and normally during high season the minimum price doesn't win, they usually not always get more, and no generally speaking the price of bid will not lower
Aesop081 Posted July 6, 2019 #3 Share Posted July 6, 2019 I'd pay up to 1000pp or even more from Mini suite to get into Haven area. I know this will come with a whole bunch of disagreements and some agreements, but that is MY preference. Just so worth it to be in that environment, the simplicity of cruising when Haven. The quiet, the service, the space, mostly that, the space. If you got a deal on the mini, treat yourself.

Done and done. Hard to travel outside the Haven anymore. On the smaller ships, the true suites will do, if the Haven isn't available.

If there are more than 2 people in your cabin, they are not charged. Not sure I answered what you were asking but didn't totally understand the question. question #2 - NO. Buuuuuut sometimes, Haven prices will drop and paying the difference comes out to LESS than bidding. We've done that several times. questions #3 - See answer to #2 Be advised, that with your bid, gratuities may change. And you also may not get any additional specials that may be offered now, but that weren't at the time you purchased your cabin. Which is another reason why comparing the prices vs bid is important. Got make sure you're getting the best total package.

If it is close, we just pay retail price.

Rare Nclgetawaymenhoney Posted July 6, 2019 #8 Share Posted July 6, 2019 A mini suite is really just a tiny upgrade from balcony only difference between mini and balcony is the bathroom is much bigger with huge shower. It is not a suite at all, they should just call them deluxe balconies

The mini suite only gets you a bigger bathroom over a balcony. Full size shower vs small stall. Double sinks. BTW: if they offered you a mini, I would have asked for a spa balcony or pushed for a spa mini. The Haven gets you upgraded Bvgari bathroom amenities, butler service to bring snacks and food of your choice daily, the Nespresso coffee maker in your room, reserved theater seating, concierge service to get you in to sold out restaurants, concierge escorts on/off ship, concierge escorts to Velvet giving you the best seats in the house before the doors open to the general public. And more. The following lonk link was our last Havens cruise on the BA Edited July 6, 2019 by BirdTravels
