Unlimited upgrade with streaming upgrade

Has anyone done this? Does it really allow you to stream Netflix, Amazon, etc?  We are going on a 11 night, many sea days cruise next and I’m thinking about this upgrade. If anyone has any experience with it, I’d love to hear about it!

This is a new prepaid offer but offering zero discount or advantage that just rolled out August 1st. 

 

Norwegian Dawn's ( ?? )satellite WiFi works but otherwise, it's just average to slow, and very sluggish at peak usage times - and due to overhead orbiting coverage, unusable at times (relative to the better server/hardware on the Escape, Breakaway & Getaway ...)

 

Streaming wirelessly is probably, at best, 50:50 odds of being to sustain a high latency, reliable connection that'll buffer, given the finite bandwidth it can support - just imagine your 200 Mbps Fios home/office connection with 25+ (ports/connections) nodes, most of them streaming on Prime, Pandora, Sling TV and Apple TV all at the same time.  

 

It's your money, feel free to spend it but since there is no advanced purchased discount and this is something that isn't going to sell out, and, you cannot apply or use any non-refundable OBC to offset by prepaying, why not wait until you are onboard to test the connectivity, then decide whether to splurge

To me, the streaming option isn't worth it, especially on older ships. On newer ships its better, but still choppy. Either way, if you are upgrading a package (e.g., 250 min promo), wait till the 2nd day for a discount.
