Kennedy Space Center Tour - Guided or Self Guided

Trying to decide if I want to do the Kennedy Space Center Tour with a guide which is a longer tour or self guide which is a bit shorter.  There is also a Legends Of Cape Canaveral trip which is the shortest one.   I am going on a Royal Caribbean cruise and wondered if anyone has had experience with the tours offered.

I'm also going to be doing a port stop there on Adventure in October and compared all the options. Easy decision to choose the 8 hour guided tour (7:30am - 3:30pm) for $79.99 pp. I've cancelled and booked this 3 times so far on my Cruise Planner to get what I think is now the best price.

Do it.  I've never seen a price cheaper than that for the guided tour.  Since I've waited so long to book...with just 3 weeks to go, its 99.00 for me.
