Carnival Splendor - Cabo Ship Excursions

Been on multiple cruises, but we are going on our first Carnival cruise in September. We're wondering how the ship excursions work - specifically for Cabo/tendering.

 

If we book a tour through the ship, are we going to meet the tour group on board and then tender to shore?

 

Or do are we going to be responsible for getting ourselves to shore and meet up with the tour on the pier? If on a tour, do you have priority tender access?

IF you book a ship's tour you will get your tour tickets in your cabin and you will be told where to meet on board to take the tender to shore.  The group will walk down to the tenders together but may be in more than one if the group is large.Ship's tours generally get off the ship before folks who have not bought any ship excursions. The only other folks who can get off earlier are elite and /or suite guests or folks who have bought FTTF.

 If you book a private tour, you will meet your guide and group after you get off the tender.  The tour company should give you a place and time to meet.  The tour company will know that you won’t have priority debarkation and will plan their meeting time accordingly.
