Hi All!

Looking into departure options and wanted to hear from any recent Breakaway Eastern Caribbean cruisers, what was the earliest time you were able to walk off the ship (with all luggage in hand)? If anyone has those sheets they give you with all the departure information that would be super helpful!

Thanks!

I don't have the departure sheets you asked about but I can tell you that we were off the ship by 8 AM in order to catch a 10:05 flight.  Had plenty of time.  I will also say that we were in the Haven so had an escort to the security/customs line on the debarkation deck of the ship.  It was the first time we didn't go through customs in the terminal.  We showed our passports and looked into a facial recognition camera and were off the ship in a matter of minutes.  The non-Haven passenger debarkation line was adjacent to ours and it was not long at that time and was moving swiftly as well.  Not sure how much earlier than 8 others were able to get off the ship.

Just as an aside, if you're asking because you're trying to time a flight, know that every debarkation situation is different.  I have read of situations where, for whatever reason, delays have occurred.  Although we were lucky in that we made it to the airport without incident, I was not without a certain level of stress that some unforeseen incident would cause us to miss our flight.  In a perfect world, I would recommend a departure time that doesn't cut it quite so close.

Our story is much different. June 2-9 eastern.  I want to say carry off started at 7:30

problem is they constantly let late arrivals merge causing those of us that was in a long snake line bumped further back. I would swear every person did carry off. Then at one point the line was completely turned around to take another escalator. The first one broke.  Now you know the people that was about to get on that escalator was upset to be at the back of the line now. Then there was more merging. Well we had a limo that was to pick us up at 9:00 and we barely made it out front for that.

So as you well see some of the best plans can go south real fast.

Oh wow, that's frustrating with all the merging they were allowing!

This will be our 25th cruise, so we're well aware of every debarkation potentially being different depending upon the circumstances. I'm trying to figure out what might be the "norm" for this ship & itinerary lately.

Just gotta hope for the best but always be prepared for absolutely nothing going your way that morning. :classic_biggrin:

What is so funny, we met a couple on our return home flight and was talking about the lines and merging. The man said they was in the come n this way and head out (merge) line.  He said they felt bad but it was what they were told to do.

I will say it all went peaceful and orderly even with this happening.
