NCL Transfer Quebec To Montreal vs NCL Transfer Excursion From Quebec to Montreal

Has anyone taken the NCL excursion from  Quebec to Montreal Airport it's  6 hours and has some stops built in but cost $159.00. But we have NCL transfer for $35.00 already booked with our NCL free air promo. Is the excursion worth the extra money and  is there anything to do around Montreal airport.

There is a small mall near the airport but nothing really to do nearby. The drive from Quebec City to Montreal will be at minimum 3 hours depending on traffic in both cities and construction as well. What does the excursion say about what you will do during those 6 hours?

Your excursion begins at the pier in Quebec City where you’ll board your coach for a comfortable 3 hour ride to the quaint island city of Montreal. Montreal airport is in the middle of the west of the island, a highly residential area with little to “do”.  The excursion is stopping at a sugar shack (woohoo Maple syrup everything) and in old Montreal.  The transfer is just that - 3 hours from Quebec to Montreal.  Not a bad price for a 3 hour drive.

So that is like 90 minutes to 2 hours in Vieux Montreal? It is doable but you wouldn't really be lingering anywhere on the tour to soak up the ambiance.

I agree, but the same could be said of many cruise line excursions...too little time to see what is there. In the situation where a cruise ends in a city where you will be flying out, the more obvious idea would be to stay in either Montreal or Quebec city or both for that matter, and fly out a day or two later. Of course, if you don't have time or can't do it for any other reason, a few hours in Old Montreal is better than nothing.

Old Montreal is beautiful and a better way to spend a few hours than the airport. Even just sitting on a terrace with a drink in Old Montreal is great (I wander into the city sometimes in the summer to do this).
