orkaren1 Posted August 24, 2019 #1 Share Posted August 24, 2019 We will be sailing on Royal Caribbeans Harmony of the Seas with our 6 year old grandson who is being evaluated for Aspergers. Does anyone have any hints on cruising with an Asperger's child? Also would it be worthwhile to contac Royal Caribbean special needs department ahead of time to advise them of our grandson's needs or would it be better to wait until we are onboard and talk to the people in Adventure Ocean kids club? spookwife Posted August 25, 2019 #2 Share Posted August 25, 2019 well what are his needs? you can arrange once on board to do Muster in a smaller, quieter are as opposed to the normal station. the staff at AO cannot provide him with 1 on 1 attention so they will evaluate him the first day as to whether or not he will be allowed to stay. kokopelli-az Posted August 25, 2019 #3 Share Posted August 25, 2019 Definitely advise Royal. Call their Access Department at (866) 592-7225, or send an e-mail to special_needs@rccl.com Here are a couple of links to get you started: https://boards.cruisecritic.com/topic/2060876-travelling-with-children-with-aspergers/ and https://www.royalcaribbean.com/experience/accessible-cruising/autism-friendly-ships
