CynBeth Posted September 1, 2019 #1 Share Posted September 1, 2019 I have some questions for our med cruise next summer. On the last day we are at La Spezia from 7-7. We want to do a tour where we visit both Pisa and Florence that allows us to climb the Leaning Tower not just see it but are not clear if the excursion the ship offers allows us to go up. It looks like some private tours offer what we want but are not sure which is the most reliable company so we are not sure what to do. Any advice is highly appreciated. After the cruise we are taking the train from Rome to Venice. We know the drive will be approximately an hour and a half to get from the port to Rome. We are trying to find out for when the train booking opens if we take our own luggage off the ship what time after docking are we allowed off? What time should we make the train reservation for to ensure we get there in the time we need to not miss it? Would it be better to take the train from the port to the Rome train station or should we book a private car to get us there? Thanks!
CruiserBruce Posted September 1, 2019 #2 Share Posted September 1, 2019 Rome in Limo is recommended here every day, and I believe they serve La Speza. Whether you train from Civi or private transfer from Civi to Termini in Rome, getting on your train there, is up to you. How is your mobility with luggage? That would be a key determining factor. Either is doable.
