Green Grotto Cave

Has anyone done the Green Grotto Cave Tour. There is no tour provided from NCL. Not sure if we can take a taxi or can book it by a private Tourguide.

Any help appriciated.

You can book a recommended guide or company like courtney taylor tours. They offer great prices

I personally haven't done this tour, so can't say much about it. A company I used was Globe Trotter adventure tours, we had a blast with them.

Love Jamaica, but just remember everything runs on Jamaican speed.................sssloowwwwwwwww.

 

We arrived 15 min. before our time and we waited 15 min before they did anything.

 

You can book this excursion if you want as you get off your ship, or book it thru your ship if available.

 

We did it this past summer thru RCI, booked ahead of time, and we had new guest that book that morning.

 

The caves are about 40 min. from port.

 

We rode in a nice air conditioned bus, driver and tour guide

 

The guide updated us about the history and culture of the island....

 

She was great.

 

Upon arrival we checked in, were able to use the clean modern restrooms and a snack bar was available for purchasing beverages or snacks.

If you wanted to the bus driver would get you jerk chicken from a stand across the street to eat on the way home.  We did..........it was very good.

 

We met our guide, was fitted for helmets that went over a disposable hair bonnet.

 

The tour is great.......................everything you could imagine and more.

 

We went down to the underground lake, and let me tell you the stair climb back up is not for the weak at heart, man It was a good work out.

 

When done they provide a glass of free punch.   We purchased water also, we were very thirsty.

 

Ride back to port, still had time to shop and relax.

 

The whole excursion took about 3 1/2 hours.
