Drinks on Us out of Galveston?

I'm cruising on the Vista out of Galveston on Nov. 2.  I have the cheers package, but I know it won't become active until the 2nd day due to us cruising out of Galveston.  What I'm wondering is, will the Drinks on Us with the casino be valid on the first day?  I qualified for it, so it's allowed on the first day, I'll just go to the casino to get my drinks.

I see those cards on the first day, but don't know if you can use them.

Yes, you will be able to do that once the casino is open after the ship sails.  You just can't do cheers or have in room liquor delivery until day 2.

Just curious, when do you actually receive those cards? It seems people may already have them when they show up at the port, or do they give them in the casino upon arrival?

If I remember correctly last time they were laying on the bed.  In more recent times I am not sure if that has changed.

Per Carnival website:  Due to Texas state laws, DOU is not available on embarkation day for sailings departing from Galveston, TX.
