Hi all. Just put in our bid on the Garden Villa on the Jewel from Auckland to Sydney in December.

Has anyone won a Garden Villa?

Do you get the perks (transporting post cruise, mini bar, bottles of liquor?)

I know it’s s long shot, but we can dream.

Yes - have done this !

As for bidding - a tough call - how full is the sailing - are the other suites selling moving as well ?

Your cruise from Auckland to Sydney is not in the same relationship as my Quebec to Boston -

time of the year - frequency of sailing - last sailing of the year - weather components -

Would have better luck in the Casino rating the ODDS.

How much to bid to WIN - it is anyone's guess !

Now as for the bennies perks extras - you get everything that goes with the Garden Villa as if

you booked it outright - exceptions would be local down under regulations limiting them.

Booze is nominally 6 bottles - no mini bar liquors - your WET-bar is set up with all the fixings to

go with your 6 bottles sodas juices etc. - normally the GV has a full wet bar and can

be stocked with about anything (the Butler does this) - complimentary transportation post cruise

is usually a private limo to the airport hotel or other location within 25 miles of the port.

Seating in the theatre or for shows is Reserved - check with the Concierge for this.

Dining reservations no problem ever.

Good Luck on your bid !

That sailing has some really cheap suite prices for 11 days.  With the GV at $6799 For 11 nights is unheard of, I'd book it outright at that price.

I agree.  That is a fabulous bargain for the Garden Villa!  For the 12 day Auckland to Sydney cruise Feb 2021 they are asking $19,499!

Remember to take the TOTAL fare for the GV i.e. $10000 pp =s $20000 and then divide that

with number of planned guests if 2 then 10000 pp - if 3 then 6667 pp - if 4 5000 - if 6 3333*

* the GV has three separate cabins within the suite - for three couples this breaks down into

a very reasonable fare - compare it to other individual suites.

If the figures are in that ball park for a few dollars more book it - bid or wait you could lose it !
