New to Valor

Hello, I'm sailing on Valor in Nov. I have a excursion in Cozumel planned for. I need input for Progreso. I'd like a good place to swim and snorkel. Some of the reviews have me not wanting to go to the blue hole and cenotes excursions. Any help would be great. Thanks in advance.

We did the Cozumel/Progreso stops on the Dream last July. Keep in mind the waters of Progreso are the Gulf of Mexico. From what I remember, the water looked very similar to that of Galveston. Both are on the Gulf. Much better snorkeling in Cozumel, IMO. We did an all inclusive right outside of Progreso. The Hotel Reef Yucatan. It's an all inclusive resort. We had a day pass there. All the food you can eat, and all the drinks you can drink. We booked it through Carnival. It's about 30-45 minute bus ride from the pier.  It was a most enjoyable experience and would recommend it to anyone wanting to do that sort of thing in Progreso. Here's some pics from there:

I've been wanting to go to a cenote for years and I recently went and was blown away by the experience.
