Sweetpeajoey Posted October 10, 2019 #1 Share Posted October 10, 2019 Just wondering if I can expect any Halloween themed events onboard the QE? My 6 year old son is taking a costume anyway (because he’s 6! Lol), but he loves pumpkin carving etc and it’s a shame to miss out.
Lilydes Posted October 10, 2019 #2 Share Posted October 10, 2019 Yes they do. There should be a fantastic display of pumpkins and there may be a Halloween party in the Queen's Room as well. I've never used the children's services but I imagine they will do something as well.
Ray66 Posted October 10, 2019 #3 Share Posted October 10, 2019 Here are some photos from our Canaries cruise two years ago on the QE. The crew really enjoyed their creations.

bluemarble Posted October 10, 2019 #5 Share Posted October 10, 2019 Here's a contribution of mine from Halloween 2015 on board QM2 showing how the floral display in the Grand Lobby was transformed into a Halloween theme that year.
Sweetpeajoey Posted October 10, 2019 Author #6 Share Posted October 10, 2019 Thanks guys, that all looks spooktacular!! 👻🎃 I think my son will enjoy seeing all that! Re: “There may be a Halloween party”, does that mean people (adults) bring costumes/accessories to wear or is it very much just the crew do the Halloween thing and the passengers spectate? Ray66 Posted October 10, 2019 #7 Share Posted October 10, 2019 Yes, I've still got my programmes from that cruise. 31st October: Halloween Party Night with Steele. Dress for the occasion and join us for a spellbinding All Hallows Eve - an evening of music and dancing with our betwitching international band Steele. Party the night away in the spooky setting of the Queens Room with fellow guests, ghouls and the Entertainment Team in an evening to remember at 10.15pm. Watch for a thrilling dance display by the Entertainment Team and join us for our spooktacular balloon drop at approximately 11.30pm. From 9.15pm, Queens Room, deck 2. bluemarble Posted October 10, 2019 #8 Share Posted October 10, 2019 We had a very similar Halloween Party Night announcement in our QM2 daily programme for October 31, 2015. Just don't be too disappointed if there isn't a "spooktacular balloon drop" this year. Per Cunard's new environmental policy statement, "We have completely removed the use of balloons."
