Janet524 Posted October 15, 2019 #1 Share Posted October 15, 2019 My husband has recently begun using a mobility scooter to get around. We will be in St. Martin in November and I would like to know if the ferry from the cruise port to downtown can accommodate boarding with a scooter. Any information will be apprecaited. HS2BS Posted October 30, 2019 #2 Share Posted October 30, 2019 We just returned from a repositioning cruise on the Summit with a port call in St. Maarten. My wife uses a wheelchair and the ferry staff was very helpful getting on and off. She still has mobility on her own with the aid of a cane so they assisted her each way and then was seated back in her chair. As for a mobility scooter, I would venture to think the factor of the weight will be a consideration as there is no boarding ramp, and tidal hight varies.
