This is what I received just yesterday - that our accessible cabin needed had cleared the wait list! Also attached was a form about our accessible needs, not asking what/why. My ta handled the whole process, as she always does! Hal

May is early in the Alaskan season, so expect temperatures to be on the “cool” side. Some of the excursions might be limited by lingering snow and ice. Coral has an indoor pool which is nice when the weather outside isn’t. It is smaller than the Caribbean Princess, but ver nice(we did Alaska aboard the Coral, but in July). Fall will offer warmer weather, and the colors of the foliage will add to your sightseeing, but expect greater crowds. We happen to be booked on the Ruby(rt) out of San Francisco during August(also an 11 day cruise) in 25. Hal

We are booked on the Ascent for the fall TA from Barcelona to Ft. Lauderdale and the following cruise in cabin 9113 As it is a sister ship to Beyond, I don’t expect there to e any noises other then when docking or tendering. Hal

We’re sailing on the Enchanted next week(Friday 2/16/24) for 10 days to the Caribbean. Have sailed on the Sky, Regal, Royal and most of the others(17 Princess cruises),but this is our first time on this ship. Chestnut Ridge is exit 172 GSP-10 minutes north of you. Hal

Anchor is only used in tender ports - can’t miss it(very loud) when in use! We have even in cabin 9113 multiple times Hal

This cabin uses the same small hallway, but the adjacent cabin is accessible; therefore cabin 8107 smaller. It does have a floor to ceiling, front facing window. The one drawback to all the front cabins is when the anchor is lowered you feel as though you helping. Hal

From experience, what Celebrity says and what happens are quit different! Before you board, if you ask for a wheelchair it will be provide - with a pusher to your cabin or a lunch venue and just ask to leave the wheelchair. Walk down almost any hallway and you will see wheelchairs with the Celebrity name on the back that passengers leave outside their cabin. At the ov cafe, theater, or cafe B - celebrity wheelchairs. Leaving the ship on an excursion, no problem, they even have dedicated crew at the gangway to help wheelchairs on and off(anyone who has been on a Celebrity cruise has seen that). Disembarkations, there is a pusher to assist you all the way to taxi or car service. while we travel with our own wheelchair, there are times when we still need to use a chair that has the Celebrity or ships name on it. In the evenings there is usually some live music at the Sunset bar till 9. Hal

It’s called side to side when you do this, and Celebrity’s answer was no when we asked the same thing. Spoke to captains club multiple times and customer service once on the ship. Stayed on ship till almost 9:30am then took a cab to the next ship. Try calling first - good luck. Hal

Celebrity will provide you use of a wheelchair from cur to ship, and use around the ship, back to pickup - no charge. Hal

When I inquired(email) about a rental, the reply was that they were sold out, but we went to their rental tent a 10am and there was a no show. We got the cart. Hal

voyager1964, We will be on the same cruise as you - there is never a problem embarking or disembarking as there are always crew assigned to helping mobility passengers. After numerous cruises with my wife’s wheelchair, the angle of the gangway has never been a problem! We’re in an accessible cabin D301. Hal

In the past, all of the means of getting to White Beach(Yost Van dyke) pull up “near”the shore, and from there it is feet wet; therefore the name Soggy Dollar bar. is it still the same? Hal

No, that’s the problem! Sounds simple to fix but, the divider moves so no coverings. Hal

The IV has curtains that can be closed, it’s the portion between the “balcony” and the rest of the cabin that is lacking darkening curtains. Hal

We were in the ABC Islands four times last year on cruises and never had disruptive seas! Doing Eastern Caribbean next month and A&C in May and November. Hal

CC1atSea nice choices! We were on the Reflection last January to the ABC islands in a port side balcony, loved it! Reconsider the inside cabin if the oceanview is only slightly more - nice to see the daylight views. Hal

We have had an IV, and it has good/bad points, but now prefer the large OV at the front. Good : it makes the physical balcony area part of the room, can be closed off, lots of sunlight. Bad: air conditioning goes off if window is opened, window can be controlled by ship, no means of preventing light disturbing someone sleeping in cabin with “balcony” doors shut. Either location, have a great cruise - cabin time is mostly sleeping, showering, and changing - after dark an IV is mostly wasted. Hal

Just off the Beyond in an ocean view on deck nine facing forward. Large cabin. No noise except for the anchor in tender ports. These are deluxe ov on decks 8 & 9 forward, and already have a b2b booking on the Ascent. Hal

Bonaire Cruisers added has a new addition to their business - a snorkeling cruise aboard the Lady Belllais, a beautiful wooden sailing vessel. Fun, drinks, food and a few more drinks, we had a great afternoon.

Just back from Xmas/New Year Beyond cruise, Chestnut Ridge is 20 miles north of Yonkers, but across the Hudson River(Tappan Zee Bridge) just off the junction of the New York Thruway & the Garden State Pkwy. Hal

There is also SAS shuttle, less expensive, usually about $15pp. Hal

We stayed at Hyatt Place pre cruise in October, and again post cruise in November; always felt safe at all hours. The market area has everything: Publix, Total wine, TJ Max, Duffy’s(sports bar), Joe’s Place(diner) Chinese, Mexican, Firehouse Subs, Gilbert’s(burgers +). Hal

We cruise frequently out of PE, there is a significant dollar amount difference between renting at Fll and the port! So much of a difference that we take a taxi to the port rental($18 -22), and there is Avis/budget(EV3) or Hertz(HLE),also Sixt across the highway. All have shuttles to the ships and pick up again. In October the rental (one day) at the airport was $122 and at the port was $35. After the cruise we reverse the procedure and return the car to the port(after our 8 day cruise the car cost was $38, the Uber to the airport, $22 + tip. on cruise disembarkation days there is a crowd and wait, but always a car if you have a reservation. This week(12/21/23) we have Budget both times, in February we pick up at Sixt and after cruise Hertz - all depends on price. Hal

Definitely the south! Besides sights mentioned above, there are flocks of flamingos and wild donkeys. Take water and snacks. Hal
