Water Platform

A Windstar newbie here. I am doing the Lovely Leewards 14 Day SJU-SJU departing Saturday, January 4, 2020.  I have a question regarding the water related equipment associated with the platform.

As an example, is there a sign-up sheet for the kayaks? Or, is availability based on first come, first served?

There is no sign up sheet.   I have never seen a long line to wait to use the water equipment.  It is a very relaxed place.  Most people tend to float and go swimming off the back of the ship.  Windstar is a very relaxed environment, and there is no need for a sign up sheet.
