Parking safe ??

We are booked with Crown Plaza in San Pedro, using their Park  and Cruise  rate in Feb of  '20.  Having recently read that there is a homeless encampment next door to their parking facility, we are wondering about the safety of parking there?  Would appreciate anyone's   recent experience.  Thank you.

If you are that concerned you can always call the Harbor Division of the LAPD and ask them about incidents at the Crowne Plaza parking area.

I checked the crime stats at the Harbor Division and there were no auto theft, or vehicle break in thefts in the last 6 months within 500 feet of the Crowne Plaza.

I consider the area very safe. I'd have no problem walking in the area at night.

We always stay at the Crowne when we go out of San Pedro.  Never had a problem.  We always walk around the area at night.  Some good eating close by.  There can be some sketchy folks around, yes, but seem to be harmless.  They have underground parking too.  Ours is usually parked there, but the last time they had moved it outside in their parking lot.  We didn't mind.  All was well.
