FOPMan Posted November 3, 2019 #4 Share Posted November 3, 2019 If looking at Fort Lauderdale, I’d suggest Lago Mar. It’s directly on the beach.
suezyq50 Posted November 4, 2019 Author #5 Share Posted November 4, 2019 Oops, missing important info. Flying into Miami, cruising out of Miami port.
JohninDC Posted November 4, 2019 #6 Share Posted November 4, 2019 Prices should reasonable in May - I would definitely stay downtown. Several hotels in the Mary Brickell area (Hampton Inn is very popular with cruisers) and many dining options nearby. Intercontinental is another great option, with views of the port from some rooms. Doubletree and next door Marriott are two more options with some rooms offering a view of the port. Any downtown hotel will be a short Uber/Lyft or taxi ride to the port the next morning. What's you budget for hotels and what kind of food (seafood, Italian, Cuban, etc.) are you looking for?
fireofficer5 Posted November 4, 2019 #7 Share Posted November 4, 2019 If you don't have a venue, check out Vizcaya.
BlueHerons Posted November 5, 2019 #8 Share Posted November 5, 2019 Royal Palm South Beach. Gorgeous property and hotel in South Beach. Lower end of luxury hotel so not crazy expensive like The Delano or Setai. Also take a look at The South Seas and Loews.
