Rental Car by Long Beach Cruise Terminal

Spending the night and sightseeing after our cruise ends. Does anyone have recommendation for a rental car agency close by Long Beach?  We will be dropping off at LAX too.

Where are you spending the night is the first question. Downtown Long Beach has Hertz, Avis and Enterprise, which are the closest ones to the cruise terminal.

There is also a Budget Car rental right on Ocean near the cruise terminal.

Is this walkable? Or do they supply a shuttle pick up at the terminal?

All 4 of the car rentals on or near Ocean are roughly 2 miles away and it is about a 40 minute walk.  I do not know if they have a shuttle, you might call them and determine if they have a pick up.

None of the rental cars have shuttles and I didn't mention Budget because they are awful.

Enterprise on Ocean Blvd. does shuttle people over to the port. They don't have shuttles, they use the rental cars. One time we were shuttled over in the car we rented and another time we shared an suv with another couple.

Yes, as they always do, Enterprise will come get you, usually in the car they are renting to you, take you back to the office/lot to complete the paperwork.

 

But they don't have a shuttle.
