Don’t purchase shore excursions from Hal with there gift cards

Do not purchase any excursions for Hal with a gift card

if you have to cancel or change to a different one. They do not know how to refund. Carnival issues new cards within two days but holland states they will reload the cards you used to purchase the trip but no one seems to know how to do it

total mess job. Holland let’s get with it  it’s 2019 not 1920

simple transactions contact your sister company if you can’t figure it out

 

hope I get my 6 refunds so far nothing 2 weeks already

1920? What? In 1920, you would have had to purchase in cash. I  personally purchase my excursions on board, as so many things can change between now and cruise time. and a gift card operates much like a gift card on land. Make sure you want to purchase something if you feel you many not want it later. It is kind of like making a purchase with your beverage card. once you spend it, it is spent. I think anyone can purchase what ever they wish on gift card with Holland America, and is not fair to discourage.  Not everyone will have your experience.

Thanks for your opinion. But it will happen to everyone who does it. One step more and even holland admits it’s a total mess. You can’t even purchase an excursion with a gift card unless it’s for the exact amount of the excursions no partial payments allowed or carry over balance on a charge for future use

 

so please unless you know what your talking about don’t be rude and try to belittle my comments  as all I wanted to do was help fellow cruises who need info
