Emerald Princess, Caribe BF question

Looking at booking C242 or 243 being marketed as a regular BF. Next-door cabin, C246/247 are marketed as a Premium Balcony.

My question is, what is the difference between the two besides nearly $300 pp? The deck plan shows that the BF has the same sized balcony as 246/7.

Is this a secret self-upgrade by booking this cabin, or is there a reason that these cabins are not Premium Balcony's?

Hi. They are just positioned more to the front of the ship. Princess segment the ship into different zones which have different price points.  We often book BF or BD cabins  on C deck the balconies are all the same size about 9x9  half covered half open.  Enjoy the saving!

It is all location.

As far as side of ship Caribe balconies they are identical.

There has to be a break in cabin numbers to start the next higher category as it gets closer to the desired midship location.
