Nana57 Posted December 23, 2019 #1 Share Posted December 23, 2019 How far is the taxi ride to this beach? Is The Nest restaurant still there? Thanks.
lynncarol Posted January 1, 2020 #2 Share Posted January 1, 2020 In port, drivers actively recruit passengers for their 8-person vans and Valley Church is the last one on their route. It has been a couple of years since we were there but it seems the ride was no longer than 30 min. at most. There was a small cafe onsite, but I have no idea what it was called as we had brought our own picnic. At Valley Church Beach we walked away from the main area to an almost deserted section of the beach. Here we encountered an abrupt drop-off from the shoreline, but since I love ocean swimming, that was not an issue .
travelloverontario Posted January 2, 2020 #3 Share Posted January 2, 2020 We take the local bus to Valley Church Beach. Vosts about 1.50 US per person and takes about 20 minutes. We also stay on the quieter side with our towel and a good book. Nest was still there last year offering food and drinks (and free wifi while eating/drinking).
