I wonder, could we possibly be any more land-locked than we are??? Yuck! If it weren't for a career here that I really love, I'd be hanging out in Florida or Hawaii year round! They get a big as 99lbs, and the rivers are full of fish. It is close to Alaskan panhandle, 14 hours from Vancouver by car. We leave for our cruise on the Victory next Friday. It's nothing short of breathtaking here...but man, the winters are LONG! After our youngest starts college, (2 years from now) we'll be doing more vacationing in the late winter/early spring to get a break from the cold during those long winters. Living near the ocean is great... but to be honest, we love the spring and fall better than the summer tourist season! We love our cruises and time in the caribbean.
