Both my husband and I are Florida natives -- born and raised in Orlando, quite the tourist destination these days. Our favorite type of vacation is to cruise, of course (!), but I also love to visit the beautiful wine country in Northern California.

The D/W was born in Luton England and I was born in Nashville, Tenn. When I got out of the USAF we moved to sunny Ft. Myers Fl. We tried Daytona Beach and then West Palm Beach and the last 20 years we have been back to lovely Ft. Myers where we live, I work, and we sail from when we get the opportunity. By the blessing and Grace of God we have been able to put a few trips under our belt and pray we will be able to do some more.

Happy Sailing

Yep, I am amazed OFTEN what a small world it is! We all seem to have "connections" with everyone sometimes,it seems!
Glad your "Florida Boy" liked MS. Most people do if they just give it a chance. They are always surprised to find our roads are paved (well, most of them ) and we don't have swamps in our backyards with alligators in them! Now, I do have to say that LOUISIANA has the swamps! (But not all of it is swamps!!!)

We're in a village just north of Glasgow, Scotland and we actually saw the sun today, a rare thing in Scotland at this time of year. Still it'll be back to the cold and rain tomorrow. That's why we love to cruise in the Caribbean. Cruised the Med once. That was OK but not enough of you guys from the USA to have fun with!

Born in North Dakota, now in Texas, getting ready to move to the beautiful Eastern Shore of Alabama.
Playtime happens at the beach or on the big boat

It's very nice Honey, but somehow I thought the ship would be larger.

We live and work in beautiful southern Illinois. We play little league baseball, high school sports, and junior high sports here.......but will be playing in the western Caribbean on the Conquest in November. Travel all over the US with the kids. This will be our first "grownup" trip alone in years except for racing at Talladega.

Born and remain in Newton Massachusetts about 20 minutes outside Boston!

Love the Spring in the Northeast but prefer my winters anywhere there is sun not snow. Favorite cruise destination is the beautiful pink sands of Bermuda!

Born in Kentucky, spent most of my life in Texas, married to a 7th generation Texan.
Most of the year we play right here on Lake Austin, but love to slip away to the Caribbean as often as possible.

Born and raised in Florida. Now reside in a small town in North Carolina. It is always amazing to find people who live in FL that were actually born there.
Hey, budat2130. I went to Caloosa and Nth Ft Myers High School. I heard it has grown a lot since I was there last. My half sister lives in Cape Coral and is moving next week. She is moving down the road from me. My father lives in Punta Gorda.
As for all of you who live in or near Las Vegas- How many are going to see Barry Manilow in June?

Kiraley,

Welcome home to Michigan! It is a small world - we knew Eastpointe when it was East Detroit, but we're too young to remember it as Erin Twp. or Halfway! Still go to Villa's for Italian food or O'Hara's for corned beef.

As much as we love the four seasons of Michigan we'd rather be away on a cruise during the winter months!

Born and raised halfway between Buffalo and Niagara Falls. Moved away with DH for 4 years to PA, then through a twist of fate we moved back and bought the house that literally sits between my parents and grandparents. So now we're raising our kids literally on my old stomping grounds. 4 generations in 3 houses, and my kids are actually the 5th generation to live on this block.

And I work, um, in the garage.

We live in Oak View, CA., which is next to Lake Casitas (one of California's premier bass and catfish fisheries), just south of Santa Barbara, and fifteen minutes from the beach in Ventura. Very quiet and easy-going.
We like to take our motorhome to one of the nearby beachside campgrounds and spend days and days taking it easy. Because we are both retired, we are always looking for cruise to go on.

Born and raised in south Seattle, WA (Go Mariners!), lived there for my first 30 years, then packed up my act and took it on the road to... Sioux City, Iowa. What was I thinking???

Actually, Siouxland isn't as bad as you'd think, once you get used to the winters and the smells from the meat plants...

It's a nice life here, but it's not forever. Where will we end up next? That's half the fun.
