Taxi to Cave of Wonders (La Romana)

We'll be in La Romana for the first time in a few months and are considering going to Cueva de las Maravillas, the Cave of Wonders. Carnival has an excursion for this that includes a city tour for $62, but I've learned that it's only $10/person to take the cave tour. We don't really care about the city tour. If the cost of a round-trip taxi is the right price, we'd rather save the money and go without Carnival's excursion.

Does anyone know how much a taxi is from the La Romana cruise port to the Cave of Wonders? It's a 30 minute drive. I found a website that gives an estimate of just over $9/person, but that seems way too low.

At Amber Cove, which is on the north side of the D.R., they have a bunch of taxis staged at the port when the ship arrives and a bunch of signs that quote the price of a taxi to many of the most popular tourist destinations. I'm wondering if La Romana has similar signs, or if anyone has first-hand experience taking a taxi to the cave.
