FEDERICOGRUMP Posted January 4, 2020 #1 Share Posted January 4, 2020 MSC have advised that the Bellissima shall be berthed at Daikoku pier, rather than at Osanbashi, Yokohama. They have also stated that they do not provide any transfers to Narita Airport on the date of disembarkation on the 19th April 2020. Does anyone have experience of the facilities at Daikoku pier and particularly the availability of Taxi/transport from the terminal ? Thanks in anticipation. SirWolf Posted January 4, 2020 #2 Share Posted January 4, 2020 following... we stay in Tokyo for another 4 nights and looking for transfer/shuttle options from pier in Yokohama to Tokyo. Since we are traveling with 6 pieces of luggage (4 trolleys & 2 carry-ons) the train is not an option.
cruiser man 60 Posted January 4, 2020 #3 Share Posted January 4, 2020 We're on the same cruise, how did you get the information regarding which pier Bellissima is docking at as can't see this information anywhere on itinerary etc?
FEDERICOGRUMP Posted January 4, 2020 Author #4 Share Posted January 4, 2020 Hi, I contacted MSC direct to enquire about transfers to the airport and they confirmed that the ship was docking at Daikoku pier.
SirWolf Posted January 4, 2020 #5 Share Posted January 4, 2020 searched for ‘Daikoku pier Yokohama’ and found the following information: Daikoku Pier Cruise Terminal Daikoku Pier Cruise Terminal has just opened in April 2019 to accommodate mega-cruise ships that cannot pass under the Yokohama Bay Bridge. It only takes less than 30 minutes from the Tokyo Haneda Airport and has good access to the Metropolitan Exxpress Way.
BruceMuzz Posted January 5, 2020 #6 Share Posted January 5, 2020 Daikoku Terminal / Pier is not ideal. Transportation options are not particularly good - especially for Japan. Good news - you are not far from Yokohama and Haneda Airport. A taxi to Yokohama station will cost you about US$30-40. From Yokohama Station, you can catch the Narita Express train to Narita Airport. A taxi to Haneda Airport will cost you around US$40. There are many shuttle buses from Haneda to Narita.

yael5 Posted January 5, 2020 #8 Share Posted January 5, 2020 Hi BruceMuzz Is Yokohama easily accessible from Daikoku Pier, to visit ? And how to go to Tokyo, at the end of the cruise ? Thanks in advance for help !
BruceMuzz Posted January 5, 2020 #9 Share Posted January 5, 2020 Daikoku Pier is essentially a container port. There is a very limited local bus service to Yokohama Station. This service is basically for the employees working at the container facility. There are a few buses running around 7 and 8 am and several more running after 5pm. There is an expressway of sorts that runs to - and through the island - from Yokohama, and then on to the mainland. Taxi or bus takes you to Yokohama in one direction (about 20 minutes) and to JR Tsurimi Station in the other direction (about 20 minutes). Yokohama Station JR trains can get you to Tokyo in about 30 minutes, or Narita Airport in about 90 minutes. Tsurimi Station JR trains can get you into Tokyo in about 15 minutes. Hopefully your cruise line will provide shuttle buses.
