Non refundable OBC Question

We will be on the Pearl next month for a 5 day Western Caribbean itinerary.  We'd both like an internet package.  If I call NCL directly to purchase it, can my OBC be

used or do we have to wait till we are onboard.  In which case we'll have to pay an activation fee.  Thanks.

OBC is just that.... "on board" credit
