Taking Wine on Board HAL in Australia

We board our cruise on the Maasdam today and I have another question in relation to the bottle of wine we are allowed to take on board - my son is 19 years old and over the legal drinking age in Australia - is he able to take a bottle of wine on-board?  I know HAL operates under the American system where the legal age is 21 - just curious if this rule still applies in Australia?  Many thanks.

"For voyages that depart from and return to Australia and/or New Zealand, this policy applies to guests 18 years and older."
