Specialktou Posted January 12, 2020 #1 Share Posted January 12, 2020 We have a $50 per excursion credit in our package. I understand that amout is credited to our cabin account after each excursion is completed. If we pay upfront for the excursions and if we do 6 does that mean at end of the cruise we have to spend it onboard for stuff we don't want? Or can we apply it to gratuities? YOu need to ask the question here: https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forum/64-norwegian-cruise-line/ The "Lose before you cruise" board is about losing WEIGHT, not money. ETA: I'm not a NCL expert, but in general, your grats are paid at the end, so any OBC you accumulate should be applicable to those charges. harvard1014 Posted January 13, 2020 #3 Share Posted January 13, 2020 the excursion credit is only applicable to NCL excursion fees, nothing to do with on board credit, does not accumulate if unused. If you do not take a shore ex at a particular port then the credit is void for that port and it cannot be used for other purposes, ergo if you do 4 of 6 ports with NCL tours then you will have $200 applied to your excursion fees, if you do all 6 ports then you get $300 applied to your cabin's excursion fees. crystalspin Posted January 13, 2020 #4 Share Posted January 13, 2020 Thanks Harvard, I should not have put my foot in that -- as I had not heard of excursion credit, as stated I thought it was going into the cabin credit of the passengers. Of course, it is "just" a discount from the shore excursions.
leafsnation Posted January 22, 2020 #5 Share Posted January 22, 2020 If you book an excursion on board they will deduct the $50 and also any lattitudes discount and only charge your account the net balance. Bob
