Suggested gratuities for half-day or full-day private tours?

For those of you who have gone on half-day or full-day private tours in Greece, what did you give your tour guides as far as a gratuity? A percentage of the cost of the tour? A flat amount?

Surprised no one chimed in, mood/quality always effect my generosity, but I've always given 10-20 USD/person.

I tend to stick with 10% of the tour cost.  At least that is what I tipped Rome in Limo last year.  He seemed very excited by that, so maybe that is more than usual.

Tipping is not as common or expected in many parts of Europe as in the US.  There is no real expectation to give a certain percentage. For some perspective, I suggest reading the thread below. Yes, it's Italy, but the tipping culture in Greece is similar.
