gramwold Posted January 26, 2020 #1 Share Posted January 26, 2020 hi all, can anyone tell me where marella docks in roatan Honduras. there are 2 places mahogany bay and coxen hole, it seems that mahogany bay is a carnival purpose built area so maybe its coxen hole for us. according to cruise timetables there are 6 ships in port on the 19th of march so maybe we will be tendering. any info on roatan would be appreciated. Vitalsign Posted January 26, 2020 #2 Share Posted January 26, 2020 I have always docked in Mahogany Bay on three cruises with Marella Docked in Coxon Hole only once with Ocean Village years ago
bishop84 Posted January 26, 2020 #3 Share Posted January 26, 2020 The Discovery 2 will be docked at Mahogany Bay along with the Carnival Legend as per their website: https://www.mahoganybaycc.com/port-schedule.aspx. Looks like the other 4 ships will be fighting it out over the 1 berth at Coxen Hole, that is if some don't change their itineraries. Should be a bit crowded as one of them is the Harmony of the seas! It only took about 20 mins to get to the beach via the walkway you see in the pic taken from the deck. There's a jet ski hire but I didn't see any takers, pricey at $100 a pop. Beach has a purpose built feel to it, so not much to see when snorkeling, even though the water viz was pretty good. Regards Paul
