suzeyQ Posted February 5, 2006 #2 Share Posted February 5, 2006 Oh which cruiseline? Most lines have guidelines on their webpages for what they mean by casual, informal, semi-formal etc. It's different from one line to another.
catmand Posted February 5, 2006 #3 Share Posted February 5, 2006 I can only speak for Celebrity and the mens dress. Casual, like dockers and a sport shirt. Informal is wearing a jacket....blazer, sport coat. NO tie is required.

Rare Keith1010 Posted February 6, 2006 #5 Share Posted February 6, 2006 It really does vary by cruise line and as noted by suzey Q most lines do have information on their web page about evening attire. And, most lines also have this in their cruise brochure. For men, on some cruise lines, a tie is recommended for informal (including Celebrity) and on other cruise lines a tie is not recommended. So, again, you want to look for specifics for the cruise line that you will be taking. Keith
