Regent at Harvest Caye Belize

We will be on the Explorer and going to Harvest Caye, Norwegian's private island, in a few weeks.

In checking to docking schedules, it appears that we will be the only ship there.

Harvest Caye is generally an Island where you must pay cash for anything you want.

Just wondering if anyone else had been there without having to share the stop with another ship.

If so, does Regent arrange so your drinks/food is complimentary there ?

Thanks

We have been twice, as the only ship.  The bars and restaurants are not included.  You need to return to the ship unless you are willing to purchase on the island.

We have been to Harvest Cay once.  Regent was the only ship there that day.  We had a full fun day.  Started with an included shore excursion followed by a lovely couple of hours lounging and swimming on the beach.  We then had a nice island style reasonable lunch.  After lunch we lounged and swam by the enormous pool.  We even had time for a stroll through several not too touristy shops.  The beach and pool loungers are plentiful.  Actually, all of the facilities are plentiful because the whole area is set up for the large ships.  It is a fairly long walk back to the ship and with all kinds of things to do on shore, lunch at the Cay is  easy!  So, take a little cash and ENJOY!

It will be okay if you are the only ship in port.  If you have to share with one of the behemoths, it will suck big time.

You will not need money to lay on the beach or pool.  The ship will give you a towel.  No charge for the bathrooms.  If you want a drink or lunch, you need to pay.  There are two or three activities that a gratis if you are Regent and show your key card.  The zip line was not functional when we were there in January.

We ended up going back to the ship as we did not bring money thinking that it was part of the all-inclusive regime.  It was not.
