Hgwells01 Posted March 6, 2020 #1 Share Posted March 6, 2020 We have a 1 April cruise from Auckland that includes these ports, ABC online has reported they too have decided to deny access, do you think Celebrity will contact us about port changes? If I spend two weeks sailing around going nowhere I’ll be happy still, hubby might so nuts so I’ll have to remind myself, in sickness and in health....... and through cabin fever 😜
Rare Jim_Iain Posted March 6, 2020 #2 Share Posted March 6, 2020 Check Celebrity's main page and select Travel Advisory. You will also receive an e-mail if your itinerary is changed. Decision may not be made until closer to your expected arrival as things are very fluid currently.
Rare debsjc Posted March 6, 2020 #3 Share Posted March 6, 2020 We missed Samoa and American Samoa on the Emerald Princess a couple of weeks ago. They added two extra Hawaii ports, and an extra day in Tahiti.
Seabiscuit68 Posted March 7, 2020 #4 Share Posted March 7, 2020 We're on Ponant March 20th Jewels of the Sea from Tahiti to Fiji. 5 of our 9 ports (Cook Islands, Samoa and Wallis & Futuna) are closed to cruise ships. We haven't heard anything yet on itinerary changes. Neither my husband and I will be happy with 7 full sea days (we already had 2 sea days). I've emailed Ponant several times but all emails have gone unanswered. We may not find out until right before the cruise. We're regular cruisers on Seabourn, Crystal and Windstar so are used to the odd couple of port changes. But this is a bit much. The only reason we went with Ponant is because of the itinerary.
