Which event constitutes "final payment?"

I have a technical question about what the term "final payment" means. Does it refer to when yoy have actually fully paid for the cruise, or does it refer to the deadline by which that payment is due? We sail in July, in theory, and I paid off that cruise months ago. However, the actual final payment deadline isn't for a couple of weeks yet. As we consider options for this Summer I wanted to make sure I understood the rules, and I have found calling Royal to result in... imprecise answers.  Thanks, folks!

Final payment means when final payment is due.  There can be some nuances if you paid off the balance months before the actual date.
