Here is more FCC information that I found out today.

 

If you have FCC and want to move it, you can only move it once and that you have to do it before final payment of the original cruise you have scheduled.  You also cannot change it to an open passage.  That's pretty restrictive.

 

I booked Japan intensive for next late April through an FCC, but I moved my Silversea Galapagos from this May to next May, so that knocked out my Azamara cruise.  I bought an FCC for $275 and got $75 back.  Goodbye $200.  Here's the thing.  After booking my Japan cruise and planning it out, I discovered that Japan is better done with a land vacation than a cruise.  I'll gladly leave the $200 on the table in order to do justice to that trip (and get to spend more time in Kyoto/Osaka and even Yokohama.  With FCC, sometimes you win and sometimes you lose.
